Trails

DeGray Lake Resort State Park has five trails for guests to enjoy alone or on a scheduled, park interpreter guided hike. Each of DeGray’s trails takes you into a unique area of the park. In order to preserve the beauty of the park and its trails, bicycles and motorized vehicles are not permitted on the trails. Please protect DeGray’s environment by leaving plants, rocks and wildlife alone as well as helping to keep the trails clean of litter.

Notice: To preserve scenic beauty and ecology, fences and warning signs have not been installed in some park locations. Caution and supervision of your children are required while visiting these areas.

Easy Trails

Chickadee Trail

Difficulty: Easy

Green Heron Trail

Difficulty: Easy
Length: 0.75
Description: For the bird watcher, this trail offers some of the best viewing opportunities in the park. The wildlife viewing station along the trail offers an excellent vantage point for spotting eagles and waterfowl. The trail begins at the Visitor Center.

Island Trail

Difficulty: Easy
Length: 1 mile

Saginaw Historic Trail

Difficulty: Easy
Length: 0.25 miles
Description: Follows an old narrow-gauge railroad bed used by lumbermen around 1900. The trail begins near the dumpstation and is a shortcut to the lake.

Moderate Trails

Towering Pines Trail
