TrailsDeGray Lake Resort State Park has five trails for guests to enjoy alone or on a scheduled, park interpreter guided hike. Each of DeGray’s trails takes you into a unique area of the park. In order to preserve the beauty of the park and its trails, bicycles and motorized vehicles are not permitted on the trails. Please protect DeGray’s environment by leaving plants, rocks and wildlife alone as well as helping to keep the trails clean of litter.

Notice: To preserve scenic beauty and ecology, fences and warning signs have not been installed in some park locations. Caution and supervision of your children are required while visiting these areas.

Easy Trails

Island Trail

Difficulty: Easy
Length: 1 mile
Description: The trail begins near the front entrance of the lodge. The first 75 - 100 yards lead to a road crossing, then the trail splits into a loop which circles back to the beginning. Hardwoods predominate the forest canopy. The trail is located 50 - 60 feet... (read more)

Towering Pines Trail

Difficulty: Easy
Length: 1/2 mile
Description: This loop trail meanders through the mixed pine and hardwood forest to the lakeshore and returns to its point of origin. It is particularly spectacular in the spring as it displays an abundance of dogwood trees.

Moderate Trails

Towering Pines Trail

Difficulty: Moderate
Length: 1/2 mile
Description: This loop trail meanders through the mixed pine and hardwood forest to the lakeshore and returns to its point of origin. It is particularly spectacular in the spring as it displays an abundance of dogwood trees.
